What CL or LO Means
JennAir's beverage center page says CL or LO indicates the internal temperature is too low, and lists what to check: whether the door is fully closed or has been open a long time, whether a large warm load was recently added, and whether there has been a recent power outage the unit is still recovering from.
Common Causes of CL or LO
- A door left open or not closing fully
- A large load of warm or room-temperature items just added
- The unit still stabilising after a power interruption
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Close the door properly and give the unit time to settle, particularly if you have just loaded it with room-temperature bottles or the power has recently come back - JennAir's own page treats all three as normal causes before anything is called a problem.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- An undercounter unit that genuinely runs too cold will freeze what is inside it, and on a beverage center that means burst bottles rather than merely spoiled food.
- If the temperature stays wrong after the door and the load are ruled out, the problem is in the sensing or the cooling control, and those sit behind a unit built into cabinetry.
- Sliding an undercounter unit out for access strains the supply cord and any water line behind it, both of which are cut to length rather than left generous.
Opening a panel to inspect or repair something yourself doesn't automatically cancel your manufacturer's warranty — but it can risk accidental damage, and some manufacturers do have specific service conditions. Check your product's warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
