What E:09 Means
The service table lists E:09 as a heating problem with the appliance operating without heater, and gives the internal check result as the heating circuit interrupted - naming the resistance, the supply wires, and the contacts of the safety relay on the power module as the places to look. The table's remedies are to measure the heater resistance and to check the wires.
Common Causes of E:09
- A heating element that has gone open circuit
- A break in the supply wiring to the heater
- Burnt or failed contacts on the power module's safety relay
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Run a normal program and feel whether the door and the dishes are warm at the end - a completely cold cycle matches the operates-without-heater description the table gives, and is worth reporting when you book.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- Three points in one circuit are named, and the table's instruction is to measure resistance, which means readings taken with the appliance isolated rather than parts swapped in turn.
- Relay contacts that have burnt usually damage the board around them, and that damage has to be assessed rather than covered with a new element.
- The heating circuit on this platform runs through the circulation path, so anything opened there has to be resealed properly or the next problem is a leak.
Opening a panel to inspect or repair something yourself doesn't automatically cancel your manufacturer's warranty — but it can risk accidental damage, and some manufacturers do have specific service conditions. Check your product's warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
