JennAir Range FEE7 Error Code

The broil element at the top of the main cavity, or its wiring, is what JennAir's FEE7 range page identifies. Read it next to FEE6 and the pair between them accounts for both of the cavity's heating elements.

What FEE7 Means

The broil element at the top of the main cavity, or its wiring, is what JennAir's FEE7 range page identifies. Read it next to FEE6 and the pair between them accounts for both of the cavity's heating elements.

Common Causes of FEE7

  • A broil element that has failed open
  • A burnt or loose connection at the element terminals
  • Wiring damage in the broil circuit

🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try

Let the oven cool completely, then inspect the broil element along the roof of the cavity for a break or a swollen section, and note whether the grill browns at all when selected.

⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That

  • The broil element sits at the top of the cavity, so anything that falls or flakes off it during removal lands on whatever is below, including the sensor.
  • Terminals at the rear of the cavity are reachable only from behind the range, which means going past the anti-tip bracket and putting it back properly.
  • A broil element run with a partly failed connection arcs at the terminal, and that damage has to be made good rather than covered by a new element.

Opening a panel to inspect or repair something yourself doesn't automatically cancel your manufacturer's warranty — but it can risk accidental damage, and some manufacturers do have specific service conditions. Check your product's warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.

FEE7 FAQ

It points that way strongly, since the two elements are independent, but JennAir leaves the wiring in the description so the connection is worth checking too.

Usually yes, though a technician should confirm the problem is confined to the broil circuit for your model before you rely on it.
