What F3E0 Means
F3E0 means the oven's temperature sensor (RTD probe) is reading as open - the control isn't getting a valid signal from the sensor it depends on to manage bake and broil temperature, distinct from the shorted-sensor reading of F3E2.
Common Causes of F3E0
- An oven temperature probe that has gone open circuit
- A sensor lead broken or unplugged somewhere along its run
- Oxidised pins at the sensor plug or at the header on the board
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Power the oven down at the breaker for a minute and restore power to see if the code clears - if F3E0 returns immediately once a cycle starts, that points to a genuine sensor or wiring problem.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- A probe that has gone open and a plug that has simply fallen off look the same from the front of the oven, and only a reading taken with the appliance dead tells them apart.
- Nothing about the probe routing is obvious once the rear panel is off, and a lead freed from the wrong clip ends up trapped when the panel goes back on.
- The sensor lead is a fixed length clipped along the cavity, so the panel only comes away a few inches before the connector at the far end takes the strain.
Opening a panel to inspect or repair something yourself doesn't automatically cancel your manufacturer's warranty — but it can risk accidental damage, and some manufacturers do have specific service conditions. Check your product's warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
