What FC RR Means
JennAir's FC RR page names the right rear hotplate - cooking surface, burner or element in the page's own bracket - or its associated wiring. It completes the positional set alongside FC LF and FC RF.
Common Causes of FC RR
- A failed element or coil at the right rear position
- A degraded terminal connection on that zone
- A break in the wiring feeding the right rear coil
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Let the cooktop cool, reset at the breaker for a minute, and then try the right rear zone on its own so you can report exactly what it does and does not do.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- Rear zones sit closest to the worktop cut-out, where a harness pinched during installation is a recognized cause of exactly this kind of problem.
- Lifting the glass to reach a rear coil means clearing the whole surface first, and the bonded edge chips if it is levered rather than lifted square.
- A coil replaced without checking why the original failed leaves whatever overheated the terminal still doing so.
Opening a panel to inspect or repair something yourself doesn't automatically cancel your manufacturer's warranty — but it can risk accidental damage, and some manufacturers do have specific service conditions. Check your product's warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
