What F2E0 Means
F2E0 means the control has detected the touchpad (keypad) as shorted - a key or section of the touch panel is reading as pressed continuously, even with nothing touching it.
Common Causes of F2E0
- Debris or moisture holding part of the touchpad in a pressed state
- A worn or failing touchpad membrane
- A shorted ribbon connector between the touchpad and the control board
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Power the oven down at the breaker for a minute, then check the touchpad surface for spilled food, moisture, or a stuck-on label before restoring power - if the display clears and F2E0 doesn't return, that was likely the cause.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- Confirming whether the touchpad membrane or its ribbon connector is the actual short requires testing with the panel open and the oven de-energized.
- Prying at a touchpad suspected of sticking can tear the membrane and turn a simple cleaning into a full touchpad replacement.
- Opening the control panel housing to inspect the keypad ribbon can put remaining warranty coverage at risk if it isn't done by an authorized technician.
